Jenny Gould

I have competed in UK Obedience for around 40 years.  I have bred and trained 4 Obedience Champions. My first 2 champions were litter mates OB CH Zakanja Bitter N Twisted (Chance) and OB CH Zakanja Little Creature (Chica).  My 3rd champion was Chica's daughter OB CH Zakanja Beewyched (Ava) and then champion number 4 was Ava's son OB CH Zakanja Golden Chance.  So you could say it is a really family affair!
I judge up to and including Championship level and I am incredibly passionate about reinforcement based dog training.  I strive to produce the necessary accuracy required for this sport whilst always showcasing that individual dog's expression throughout.
I am incredibly honoured to be invited to judge your Dutch Championships 2024 and look forward to judging all of your fabulous dogs.
Daniel Thompson

I developed a passion for dog training and dog sports when I was 13 years old, after rescuing Megan (Brown Eyed Meg), a Border Collie mix, and beginning to compete in agility. A few years later, I got my next Border Collie, Millie (Mills On Wheels), who became my first obedience dog. With Millie, we advanced to Test B and C and competed at Crufts four times through the Young Kennel Club, earning 1st, 2nd, and two 3rd places.

My love for training led me to a role at Dogs Trust, where I spent 8.5 years on the canine training and behaviour team, rehabilitating rescue dogs, training staff across the UK, and leading international events in Dublin, Turkey, Lithuania, and Romania.

During my time at Dogs Trust, I also adopted another Border Collie, Mavis (Double Feature Picture Show), who is now retired. Currently, I have a two-year-old German Shepherd, Olive (Zakanja Baa Baa), bred by Jenny. Training Olive has been a rewarding new experience, and she has already won her first Novice obedience class and achieved second place as well. I feel privileged to have one of Jenny's exceptional dogs, and spending the weekend with her in Holland will be a testament to our friendship and shared love of the breed and obedience.

Throughout my career, I've been invited to judge in Holland several times. I am excited to be part of the class championships alongside Jenny Gould. I wish all competitors the best of luck and thank the Dutch Obedience Society for inviting me back to share this special weekend with you all.
